Have you relocated and moved to Sacramento? Maybe you’ve heard about the Fabulous 40’s and wondered what people are talking about.
The Fab 40’s is a neighborhood close to Downtown Sacramento where many of the City’s prominent residents have lived.
The streets are wide, the homes custom with sprawling green lawns under a canopy of established tree lined streets with a flare of European design.
Each year the Holiday Home Tour in the Fabulous 40’s welcomes thousands of holiday guests the first weekend in December.
This year is no exception. December 4–6, 2009 Holiday Home Tour begins with the Fabulous 40’s neighborhood homes elegantly decorated by top designers and florists.
Five exquisite homes will be featured and the tour begins on 42th Street between J and M Streets and winds its way through East Sacramento ending on 38th Street between Folsom & P.
Tickets are $20 when ordered online by email to tickets@shpsholidayhometour.com and $30 the day of the tour.
This Fabulous 40’s Holiday Tour is a fundraiser each year for Sacred Heart Parish School which usually takes about 2 hours and is organized by the parents.
No two homes are the same in the Fab 40’s. The architecture is Pre WWI and Pre WWII with Craftsman Bungalows, Comfortable Contemporary, European Revival, Georgian Colonial, Spanish Eclectic architectural English Cottages, Tudor Style, Dutch Farmhouses and Mediterranean Villas. If you haven’t been to the Fab 40’s you have missed a big part of Sacramento.
