A Home Buyer MUST Do!

While looking at Sacramento homes for sale on the Internet, just take the time to plug in the address of your top choices and check the neighborhood crime as well as Megan’s Law for each address.  It’s difficult to find a neighborhood where there are no sex offenders except of course by schools.  But better to be armed than to be surprised.

I think it’s important to realize that even after you move into a home, there is no guarantee that a sex offender won’t move in next door.  This is an individual decision that each home buyer needs to seriously consider.  

As a home seller,  listing agent or selling agent,  if you have knowledge that a predator lives in the area, you must disclose this fact to the home buyers.

My feeling is that knowledge is king and you can protect yourself as long as you have all the information at hand.  Would you rather know or stay in the dark?
