will there be fire works at the Tetotom park this 4th Of July 2009?

  2. Gena Riede says:

No, I’m afraid not. Apparently, the church that was involved in putting the firework display on is no longer around. Sorry.

  3. jill says:

    Thank you for responding.

  4. Kim says:

Is roseville really doing their fireworks display @ 7pm??

  5. amber says:

will there be a firework show at folsom lake??

  6. Gena Riede says:

Not that I’m aware of Amber but if you find out differently be sure to come back and let us all know. Happy 4th!

  7. Gena Riede says:

Kim, who told you that? LOL You can’t see fireworks that early. The fireworks start at 9:30 over at the County Fairgrounds.

  8. amber says:

thanks. will people be able to see any fireworks from discovery park?

  9. susan says:

i heard that roseville will not be having fire works at the county fairgrounds this year.is that true.

  10. Gena Riede says:

Susan, yes and no. The City of Roseville could not fund the entire amount that it cost to put on the firework display. Sierra View Country Club is partnering with the City of Roseville this year for the firework display which will be launched from Sierra View Country Club and can be seen from Placer County Fairgrounds for FREE.

The City of Roseville is still sponsoring the July 4th Celebration in Royer Park from 11 am to 2 pm.

    So go and have FUN!!!

  11. Eric says:

No fireworks at Raley Field this year anyone??

  12. Gena Riede says:

Eric, fireworks at Raley Field are only when there is a home game and that was yesterday, July 3rd. Sorry if you missed it.

  13. Joel says:

for how long after the 4th, can a person set off fireworks at their home

  14. Gena Riede says:

Joel, I’m assuming you live in an area that allows the safe sane kind of fireworks and that answer I would think varies with the neighborhoods and fire and police departments. You might want to give the local fire department a call and ask them about your specific neighborhood.

    RE: ROSEVILLE FIREWORKS SHOW (NOT!)

W O W !!! WHAT A LET DOWN THAT WAS, HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES WERE ALL IN PLACE PROMPTLY AT 9:30PM WAITING FOR THE BIG SHOW. I ACTUALLY SPOKE TO A FEW PEOPLE FROM OUT OF TOWN WHO THOUGHT THAT THE SHOW WAS THE LOW LEVEL FIREWORKS THAT WE COULD BARELY SEE OVER THE FENCE NEAR THE RACE TRACK. BUT I SAID NO JUST WAIT THE SHOW WILL BE RIGHT ABOVE US, IT WIL BE GREAT. WELL, AT APPROX. 10:00 PM ALL OF THE LIGHTS CAME ON AND PEOPLE WERE STUNNED. EVERYONE LEFT IN DIS-BELIEF THAT THERE WAS NO SHOW! NOT EVEN A SIGN OF TRAFFIC POLICE TO HELP WITH THE MAD EXIT. THE WORKERS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. THIS WAS REALLY A BAD SCENE!

  16. Gena Riede says:

    Bonnie,
Wow, that surprises me. What a let down. I know things are tough and a lot of areas just can’t afford to have them anymore but why do something if you can’t do it right? I doubt those folks attending will return next year. Sorry for the disappointment!

  17. Paige Phillips says:

We need to bring back Old Sacramento Fireworks ON the 4th of July… Afterall, that’s the celabratory day Right???

    • Gena Riede says:

Paige, since I’ve lived here I don’t think Old Sac put on the fireworks. The River Cats always have and many times people have thought that it came from Old Sac. Do you remember being in Old Sac and seeing the fireworks come from there?

  18. jim says:

what sort of “show” does SAC put on? Aerial fireworks, yes? But what about a groundshow? Won’t be there until 2012, but curious to know now.
    Thanks!

    • Gena Riede says:

      Hi Jim,
Old Sac has quite a party along with the aerial fireworks, there is a show for families earlier and of course the one at midnight…I think you will enjoy it when you’re here in 2012.

  19. Amanda says:

How do I find out if I can have fireworks in my neighborhood? I just moved into a house in Citrus Heights and I have no idea who to ask about that.

    • Gena Riede says:

The City of Citrus Heights has had a no tolerance on fireworks since 2008. You might want to call for more information, the Citrus Heights Police Department at (916) 727-5500. The Sunrise Shopping Center puts on a very nice display each year.

    • Gena Riede says:

Amanda, just noticed that what I thought was a reply to your question seems to have disappeared…my apologies. What I wrote before that is missing was that Citrus Heights banned fireworks years ago but the Sunrise Mall puts on a pretty good display for you and has things for the kids to do as well. You can also come on over to Sacramento and see the fireworks on the River in Old Sac and of course there is always the display at Cal Expo. Hope that helps.

  20. Naomi Rauscher says:

Can anyone tell me what time the fireworks in Old Sac will be?

  21. bill says:

So there are no fireworks in Folsom ………are there any fireworks in eldorado hills? Anywhere at all…….

    • Gena Riede says:

Hi Bill, I listed the fireworks in El Dorado Hills over at Town Center…hope you got to see them yesterday!
