Sacramento, CA
Are you wondering what FUN thing there is to do around Sacramento?
The Courtland Pear Fair is Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Pear Fair is held the last Sunday of every July with all locally grown pears.
Don’t miss it, the Courtland Pear Fair only happens once day a year and July 26th is it. I hear the pear bread gets sold out by noon every year so don’t be late.
Are you wondering where Courtland is? Courtland is just 20 miles south of Sacramento on Highway 160 where the Delta breeze, blows.

I understand pears are a good source of fiber, potassium and vitamin C so this is one healthy, fun fair. Go and support this community for their 1 day event.
Be sure to go with an appetite since there is plenty of food. They even have a local parade starting at 1:00 pm and of course some great bands. And there is plenty for the kids to do. Pear Fair has a Fun Run – 5-10 mile run and a Children’s 1/2 mile run, classic car show and tons of goodies plus some good tasting pears!
Admission is FREE but parking is $10. Don’t park on Hwy. 160 otherwise you’re towed. That’s how to ruin a good day…

Sounds like a lot of fun! I will have to check it out. Thanks!
Joe,
Be sure and go early, I understand the pear bread is delicious and runs out by 11:00 am.
Have fun!
