Sacramento homeowners, there are home buyers out there looking at your neighborhood and some of the houses I’ve seen could use some paint. In fact, the houses should have been painted a long time ago. Many times home buyers who buy a brand new home think they don’t need to paint for many years. Did you know that most of the home builders water down the paint and use cheap paint?
When that stucco starts looking blotchy and the wood trim looks like someone has removed some of the paint, it’s past time to paint! It doesn’t cost as much as you may think. Call and get 3 bids from painters who are licensed. Don’t think you’ll save $$$ by hiring a handyman or someone who just paints on the side. You’ll end up with a job that needs to be redone so it will cost twice the original amount!
Part of homeownership is maintaining your house and painting is part of that maintenance. Step back from your house and also take a good look at your roof in case you need to make any adjustments or replacements. This is a good time of year, the rain has stopped and it’s not too hot outside. Let’s take care of our homes.
And if you are thinking of selling or buying a house maybe even a new house from a home builder, be sure and call me first. A home buyer needs to be represented even with new home builders. You need someone on your side. Don’t have the home builder represent you.
