Folsom is also home to the Folsom Lake State Recreational Area which is over 18,000 acres and a great place for boating, water-skiing, fishing, hiking, picnicking and camping. The Nimbus Fish Hatchery is a unique place to visit where salmon and trout cna be seen in their annual migration toward spanwing grounds.

LightRail was extended to Folsom for easier commutes to Downtown Sacramento as well as connections toward the Bay Area. This is quite an asset to those living in Folsom and cuts down considerably in their commute time.

The community School District is Folsom-Cordova Unified with high ranking scores which draws residents to the area.

Intel is located in Folsom and has contributed to the community in many ways both financially and by offering programs for the community.

There is an area in Folsom called “Represa” which is where the famous Folsom Prison is located and where the California vehicle license plates have been manufactured since the 1930′s. I don’t recommend living there!
