On November 7th not only is Arnold Schwarzenegger re-elected for an addional term and San Francisco is home to the first woman democrate House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi but we had some local issues that have a direct effect on Real Estate.
Proposition 1A passed which closes a loop hole in the gasoline tax for funds to be used exclusively for transporation improvements
Proposition 1B passed which provides funds to deliver traffic congestion relief projects throughout California and will help the State keep pace with future population growth.
Proposition 1C passed providing money to expand housing opportunities for families, seniors and the disabled
Proposition 1E passed to fix California’s 1600 mile levee system which will help protect thousands of homes and businesses.
There were many other important issues that were voted on but these particular items were endorsed by the Sacramento Association of Realtors and passed.
