Home Sellers, Thinking of Remodeling Your Home?
It’s not far off when home buyers will expect home sellers to have their homes tech automated, linking lights, heat, door locks and other systems with iPads and Tablets. This is not a new concept but one that will continue to gather momentum with today’s homeowners.
With iPads and tablets, homes are now synced for a few but this real estate trend will more than likely mushroom over time. I was reading in The Wall Street Journal about a 34 year old vocal producer of the X Factor who uses a home automation company Crestron’s iPad app to control his West Hollywood home raising and lowering his shades, lights, music and security cameras. It is said he spent $80,000 to make his 2,400 square foot home tech friendly. Since Apple seems to dominate, most companies are fine tuning their systems to meet Apple devices and writing apps for all sorts of features.
Technological Friendly Home is the Expected Future For Home Sellers
Technology in the floor to determine if an elderly person has fallen and call an ambulance or feed the fish, determine what is in your refrigerator and give you a recipe for those items is already here. There is almost nothing that hasn’t been thought of and there is an app for it. I wonder what Ryan Lundquist, Sacramento appraiser would allow for a tech upgrade or if he would consider it an over improvement?
So, home sellers get ready for some major bucks when it comes to updating your home, it’s not just granite anymore!! It’s all about apps!
