It’s not far off when home buyers will expect home sellers to have their homes tech automated, linking lights, heat, door locks and other systems with iPads and Tablets. This is not a new concept but one that will continue to gather momentum with today’s homeowners.
With iPads and tablets, homes are now synced for a few but this real estate trend will more than likely mushroom over time. I was reading in The Wall Street Journal about a 34 year old vocal producer of the X Factor who uses a home automation company Crestron’s iPad app to control his West Hollywood home raising and lowering his shades, lights, music and security cameras. It is said he spent $80,000 to make his 2,400 square foot home tech friendly. Since Apple seems to dominate, most companies are fine tuning their systems to meet Apple devices and writing apps for all sorts of features.
Technological Friendly Home is the Expected Future For Home Sellers
Technology in the floor to determine if an elderly person has fallen and call an ambulance or feed the fish, determine what is in your refrigerator and give you a recipe for those items is already here. There is almost nothing that hasn’t been thought of and there is an app for it. I wonder what Ryan Lundquist, Sacramento appraiser would allow for a tech upgrade or if he would consider it an over improvement?
So, home sellers get ready for some major bucks when it comes to updating your home, it’s not just granite anymore!! It’s all about apps!
Did you know that home buyers and home sellers are helping our economy to recover? Jobs that were slashed are making a comeback since real estate is on the mend!
You would be amazed to consider how many businesses count on one of the only real U.S. commodities we have left. Real Estate is not sourced out to other countries but it’s right here in the good old US of A. Can you think of another industry we have that has remained in the United States? I seriously doubt it! Just another reason why we should be vigilant in keeping real estate local and competitive. Home Buyers and Home Sellers keep the economy moving in the right direction.
California Association of Realtors estimates that for every home purchased there is approximately $60,000 spent in the economy and there are 2.5 million private sector jobs in this country due to home sales in a year. Thank you home buyers and home sellers!
Just think of all the many services and businesses home buyers who just bought a home go to spend their money and improve on their new home. Not to mention who the home seller hires to prepare, remodel or fix items in the house prior to selling the house. Those are just the obvious ways home buyers and home sellers spend and create jobs in the market place. Can you think of some others?
As your REALTOR®, I thank all of the home buyers and home sellers who are contributing to our economy and it’s recovery! Love to list your home for sale and boost the economy… so just give me a call!
This week an exceptional luxury home in Elk Grove sold and the home buyers will be making this their new home. I couldn’t help but realize how many home sellers have no idea what type of advertising the real estate agent they hire will do. Will there be multiple large photos, did the real estate agent discuss staging and how about providing a video on-line? Take a look at this luxury home video and see what you think…did it showcase the home in the best light? Is the photo quality good and large enough for home buyers to view and get a good impression of the house?
Luxury Home REALTOR®
These are all very important especially when selling luxury homes but should be offered to all home sellers. With any real estate transaction, the experience of a REALTOR® is important. The knowledge a real estate agent brings to the home seller is invaluable and can help the sellers bottom line. So, if you have a home to sell, give me a call and let’s get started preparing your home for sale, take some photos and get your home video started.
