River Park will be one of the neighborhoods that I show this week to a new home buyer coming from out of state who is relocating to the Sacramento area.
River Park is one of the real estate marvels of Sacramento and definitely worth showing to my home buyer.
If you have never heard of the River Park (neighborhood-community website) area, let me be the first to share with you this best kept secret neighborhood in Sacramento.
Within minutes of Howe Ave and Fair Oaks Blvd, just over the H Street bridge is the River Park neighborhood.
There is no through traffic since coming into the entrance are only residents of River Park. The southern most side of River Park is where this community first started being built one by one in the 1950s. You wont find homes that look alike here. As more families moved to River Park, the area expanded northward.
Since there is only one way to enter, River Park is an idyllic quite neighborhood filled with tree lined streets, river access and well manicured homes. The style of houses is mostly ranch style with a sprinkling of rehabbed contemporary homes.
The neighborhood parkincludes tennis courts, play equipment, a community pool, a great soccer field, access to the American River and a walking trail. Did I mention that River Park has its own Little League Baseball Field?
River Parkis across from Cal State University and many of the staff live here.
It is not uncommon to see neighbors out walking their dogs, children riding their bikes, groups playing tennis or walking along the American River. In fact, as I was taking these photos of the American River at River Park, I came upon 5 men who brought their chairs down by the river and were discussing a book they had been reading. What a great way to unwind after a busy day at work.
I saw neighbors walking their dogs, children playing, groups of tennis players and even a man fishing in the American River. I believe there are about 3,500 homes in River Parkbut yet very few for sale. Theres a reason that you dont see a lot of homes for sale at River Park.
Children buy their parents homes and continue to raise their own families here in this idyllic tree-lined location known as River Park in Sacramento. I hear they even have their own parades. I think it has a lot to offer and the neighbors that I spoke with all seem to love it, here!
