Yes, the Sacramento County Fair is here and going strong. So, if you are looking for something to do over this holiday weekend, be sure to check out the Sacramento County Fair at Cal Expo. When my children were younger, I remember taking them to the Sacramento County Fair when the Raging Waters first opened and what a thrill it was. Make some memories for family, loved one or just yourself its fun.
Free admission gates opened May 24, 2007 and will run through May 28th at Cal Expo. Below is the schedule of the Sacramento County Fair Times and Dates.
Thursday & Friday 12:00 pm “ 10:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am “ 10:00 pm
Monday 10:00 am “ 7:00 pm

Whales in Sacramento Delta
If you have any energy left or want an alternative, you might want to check out the latest on Delta and Dawn, 
our wayward Humpback Whales in the Sacramento Delta. The latest on these two whales is that they are not responding to the banging nor the whale sounds to divert them back to the Ocean. The Fire Department is scheduled to turn high powered hoses on them to see if that would entice them still waiting to hear.
In the meantime, due to the nature of this holiday when most Californians grab the opportunity to celebrate the Memorial Day Weekend on the water, please remember to keep a minimum of 500 yards away from Delta and Dawn, any closer and it is said to be a Federal offense. Both whales really need our help to not get stressed and be able to find their way back through the mirage of water ways, sloughs and rivers back and under the Golden Gate. Do what you can to ease their stress. Their health is of great concern at this point on the 12th day.
34th Annual Sacramento Jazz Jubilee
Love jazz, then the Jazz Jubilee
is the place for you. Start today, May 25th and runs through May 28th with over 100 bands in Sacramento. This year is the 34th year of the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee where jazz enthusiasts come from far and near to hear the great sounds. These bands are the best from all over the world.
