Wondering what to do this weekend? New Home buyers, sellers and those who are new to our area there is a GREAT festival going on. Just a short drive south on 5 to Stockton is the 21st annual Asparagus Festival. The festival opened today, Friday but you still have plenty of time to get there.
This year the festival will be near the waterfront where Stockton proudly displays their new arena and by next year the marina will be open for you to boat on over.
There is an incredible abundance of asparagus with a variety of flavors and textures for your palate to savor.
I hope this year they still have the farmers who farm the asparagus for those like me who have no idea how asparagus is grown. I was amazed to find that they grow individually in the ground. That is quite labor intensive and requires an incredible amount of land to produce as much asparagus as we eat. It is no wonder we pay the price we do for this well defined vegetable.
Be sure to attend the Asparagus Festival in Stockton this weekend Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 7 pm in Downtown Stockton by the waterfront. Adults are $10, Senior $5 Teens $5 and under 10 are free. Go for the Activities, Shopping, Crafts, Entertainment and paddle boats on the Delta all while eating your way through the day.
After celebrating the Asparagus Festival in Stockton, head on back my way to Sacramento and let me know if you are interested in homes for sale or if as a seller you have any real estate related items that I can help you with.
Bona petite.
Dont forget to attend the Elk Grove Western Festival next weekend May 5th through May 6th.
