Sacramento home buyers may have noticed that there are not as many homes to chose from on the market.
The moratorium will be over March 31, 2009 and I suspect there will be a flood of foreclosed homes for sale in April.
You can always look for all foreclosed homes for sale by clicking
. Once on Sacramento MLS you may select bank owned foreclosed homes for sale, short sale homes in Sacramento County, Placer County, El Dorado County and others.
Keep your eyes open for all the new foreclosed homes for sale hitting the market in April.
If you have never looked at a foreclosed home, it’s important that you realize there are some homes that will look presentable and others where either the owners left in a mess or have been broken into.
Foreclosed homes are sold as-is and that is why many are priced below market. A few agents price their listings exceptionally low, hoping for multiple offers and driving the price upward. Have your Realtor do a CMA (comparative market analysis) of the neighborhood before you write your offer.
Be sure and have a home inspection on the house that you chose. Even though the banks will not make any repairs, it’s important for you, as the home buyer to know what needs to be fixed and learn about your new home you are buying.
Good luck and happy house hunting!
