As a Sacramento Realtor ®, I always suggest to the home buyers I work with that they walk and drive the neighborhood they are considering moving to.  Is this a neighborhood you would feel comfortable living in?  Knock on a few doors and ask a few neighbors how they like living in the neighborhood.  Don’t be shy, the neighbors will gladly tell you just how they feel but it’s important to ask more than one so you get a wider view of just what the neighborhood is like.

Before you buy a house or condo make sure you check out the neighborhood you want to live in. Here are just a few things you might also want to consider:

2. Crime
3. Megans Law
4. Distance from Work
5. Traffic Pattern
6. Distance to Recreational Areas
7. Distance to Hospital
8. Distance to Your Doctors
9. Distance to Shopping

During this difficult economic time, it is very important after you move in to your new home that you shop locally so that those neighborhood businesses will remain in your neighborhood.  Remember, WHO Are the People in YOUR Neighborhood?
