To Sell or not to Sell…that is the question. It is my opinion, in today’s market of Supply and Demand, that if you do not fall within the following list, then you should not be selling.
- Can’t Pay Mortgage
- Going Through Divorce
- Partner Died
- Job Transfer
We all had a great ride and equity in our homes climbed to exciting figures over the past few years. Some of us used that money wisely and invested in additional properties, kept the equity in our primary home and then there were those that used their equity to buy off their credit cards. I will save that discussion for later.
In just checking the figures for all of the Cities within the Sacramento County area, here are the staggering figures that only continue to feed the Supply and Demand Theory and lower each of our properties.
Sacramento County | Placer County | El Dorado County | Yolo County |
10,300 Single Family Homes For Sale | 3,178 Single Family Homes For Sale | 1,808 Single Family Homes For Sale | 986 Single Family Homes For Sale |
889 Condos Listed | 185 Condos Listed | 41 Condos Listed | 56 Condos Listed |
522 Land Listings | 603 Land Listings | 753 Land Listings | 110 Land Listings |
These figures are outrages and if we want to change the prognosis, we must start looking at what is causing the illness and effectively put into place the proper procedures for change! The change to implement is remove unnecessary for sale signs. Cut down on the number of homes for sale and this will help to readjust the market. So simple, and yet I still see too many signs!
What do you think about the Supply and Demand Theory and has it contributed to our current problem?

Glad you found what you were looking for.
