Thinking of Buying A House in Folsom CA?

Currently, I am working with home buyers who are considering moving and buying a house in Folsom, CA.

One of the many questions that the home buyer who is relocating to our area has, is about parks and kid friendly neighborhoods.

While checking out some of the neighborhoods that would qualify under their specifications, I pointed out that Folsom has its own zoo,  olympic pool at the Aquatic Center, water slides not to mention whitewater rafting, horseback riding, cycling and Folsom Lake for water skiing, sailing, swimming and fishing.  With the American River the parks with wildlife and the 32 mile paved path from Beal’s Point at Folsom Lake to Sacramento are just a few of the many amenities Folsom has to offer.

Just a mere 30 minutes drive from Downtown Sacramento, Folsom offers a wide variety of homes for sale and neighborhoods both gated and non-gated.

The home buyers asked the question I always get from anyone who is relocating from outside of the area and that is, what about that prison?  I drove by Folsom prison and showed her that the entrance sign is really the only way you know it’s there.  With the hills and landscape, buildings are not visible.  No one even thinks about Folsom prison around here.

With 38 parks in Folsom, 9 Elementary Schools, 2 Middle Schools, 2 High Schools, check out the and the activity guide for Folsom residents.  With historic Folsom under construction at Sutter Street at the moment, there is a bit of the old gold rush days you will find along with some Victorian homes.  Just like Sacramento, Folsom now has 2nd Saturday Art Walk right there on Sutter Street.

Recently, I saw a movie at the Palladio in Folsom and what a gem this new shopping area is for the city.  Currently, the movie theater is the only open facility however, there will soon be some upscale merchants for all of Folsom.

This is a beautiful shopping area that lends itself to some great architecture.

Speaking of merchants, Costco in my opinion has the best seat in town.  Hovering high above Folsom on a hill overlooking all of Sacramento, there is nothing like watching the sunset from the Costco parking lot.

If you are a home buyer thinking about moving to Folsom and wondering what homes are for sale in your price range be sure to take a look at Folsoms MLS or give me call and let’s get started finding just the right neighborhood for you, too?

We have so many great places to live around Sacramento! I would love to help you find your next neighborhood.
