Wow, can you believe that we witnessed such a great feat today with the 2nd leg of the Tour of California that will end February 25th in Long Beach, California? History begins in Sacramento.
It was a day that Sacramento will remember with the Finish line in front of the Capitol. With the blur of color that flew by rounding the corners after 116 mile trek from Santa Rosa this morning, these athletes won the hearts of those watching and living through their every turn. What a sight to see the Peloton approaching the Sacramento bridge over the Sacramento River. With hearts pumping, muscles aching and the sound of the cow bells ringing in their ears from the Bicycle City, Davis welcome glorious views of Lake Berryessa, Argentine, Juan Jose Haldo from Team CSC sprinted through the Finish Line of Stage 2 in Sacramento this afternoon. Levi Leipheimer retains his gold jersey of overall race Leader and after filling their hunger tonight the cyclists will all be off for Stage 3 tomorrow to San Jose.
