My husband and I needed to find a real estate broker to help us find a home in Elk Grove, California. After interviewing a number of real estate agents in the area, I selected Gena Riede, Broker/Owner of Riede Real Estate to help us find a home in Elk Grove. I could not be more delighted with her exceptional knowledge of the real estate process, market, negotiating skills and outstanding customer service. I may well require more of real estate agents and brokers because not only is this not my first real estate purchase, but I am a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina. Because of this, I know what to expect of a ‘competent’ real estate agent; however, I want you to know that Gena is much, much more than merely competent. She is truly EXCEPTIONAL!
Gena is very knowledgeable of the real estate process. Her experience as both a seller’s agent and a buyer’s agent is invaluable to her clients, no matter which side of the transaction she is representing. This is because her knowledge of the process and strategies from both sides of the proverbial table help her provide you with the information you need to achieve your goals.
Gena really knows and understands the market. She closely watches the market and advises her clients of the changes that are occurring, how it impacts their search or sale; and the impact the market conditions may have on the offers they may be considering.
Gena has excellent negotiating skills. While it is true that that strong, effective negotiation skills are necessary when writing and accepting a contract. What many sellers and buyers do not realize is that one of the things that can kill a deal is what happens during the inspection process and negotiations for any required or requested repairs. This period in a purchase/sales contract is often where things break down and contracts are lost. Gena’s tenacious advocacy is a strength that ensures that her clients get the support and action they require to successfully close the deal.
Gena does not have a cadre of assistants and associates that she delegates work to. She does it all and is very, very accessible. When something needs to be done, she gets it done and she keeps you updated on the status.
Gena’s commitment to her clients is evident through her phenomenal customer service. To be honest, I’m not sure if and when she ever sleeps. She is off and running early in the morning fielding calls and responding to requests. That said, there were times when we were writing offers into the late hours of the night because it was in our, her client’s, best interest to have the offer presented as soon as possible. Because Gena is much more than just a ‘competent’ real estate broker, she has multiple clients at any one time. That said, as I client, I always felt that I had her full and undivided attention. She has very good organizational skills which were evident as attended to and managed every deadline. She also was very good about coordinating all of the auxiliary parties that can and do impact the process and timelines; she maintains close contact with the agent on the other side of the contract, the loan broker, contractors, etc… and provides you with updates so that you know where you stand throughout the process.
To say that Gena was incredible to work with is truly an understatement. I would not hesitate to use Gena for any transactions in the greater Sacramento area and will be recommending her to anyone I come across that needs the services of an exceptionally competent real estate professional. My Fiance and I have been renting for over 4 years. This summer we finally decided it was time to buy a home. Knowing nothing of buying, we initially chose our first real estate agent at random and it turned out to be a nightmare. Every house we saw was nothing like what we wanted, she knew nothing about inspecting a home for quality and nothing about the buying process, needless to say we felt completely overwhelmed. Then, while researching online, we came across Gena’s videos on youtube and then her website. Here was a woman with abundance of experience in the business, and we decided to give her a call. From our first meeting until the moment Gena handed over the keys to our home she were there for us. Any question we had…answered, any concerns we had…addressed. Gena knew what kind of house I was looking for even more that I did myself. She walked me through each house pointing out pros and cons, and when we found our favorite house she walked us through all of the paperwork line by line until we had a clear understanding of what we were signing.
Gena treated us like a family but with a professional touch. She was readily available via email and phone to assist with everything making the entire process much more manageable! I originally decided to get my home loan through Chase Bank. Gena advised me to go through her referral and wow was i glad that I did!, Chase bank had missed a huge problem with our debt to income ratio that her company found. We would have been denied if it wasn’t for Gena’s quality referral. She also gave quality referrals for all the other services involved in purchasing a home and each company did a great job. Without Gena’s help I would not have found my dream home and for that I am eternally grateful.
Word of advice for first time home buyers like us, just close your eyes when Gena’s around, she will take care of everything for you.

Gena did a great job working with us to find a new home in the Folsom area. She is quite knowledgeable on the whole Sacramento region. She would consistently send me properties in which I might be interested. Then she would get all comparable sales in the area so that I could refine the decision-making process. Once a purchase decision has been made, Gena drew up all the necessary E-documents (DocuSign) in a quick manner, and using the latest technology, was able to email/fax offers, counter-offers, addendums, etc until the successful conclusion of negotiations. I cannot begin to tell you how important, and time and money saving, her use of the latest technologies were to us. We ended up with a nice duplex at a great price that was very easy to rent. So, I’m a real happy fellow. Sometimes, I am not an easy person to deal with. Time and time again I found something negative about a property that most people would have not considered important. Gena, to her credit, never once, gave up hope and always had that positive attitude that “we will find the property you are looking for”….and we did. And boy, did I make her work hard. I guess what makes me admire Gena the most is her strict adherence to her own professional code of conduct. She never cut corners in dealing with people, and she always treated the sellers and tenants we were dealing with in a very courteous manner. I liked that, and I am sure the people who opened their homes to us, did as well.
Let me just conclude with the following: When I want a good cup of coffee I look for Pete’s or Starbucks, when I want a really great hamburger, I go to the Squeeze Inn Burger Joint in Sacramento (ask Gena), and when I need a truly professional Real Estate Broker I demand the same high quality, and that would be Gena Riede. She saved us thousands. She will probably do no less for you.
