There are so many new 1st Time Home Buyers in Sacramento who are now new homeowners. As new homeowners it’s important to keep up your real estate property and meet your neighbors. There are some ways you can be a good neighbor that will also help increase the value of your home in terms of lifestyle and enjoyment of your backyard.
During some home inspections I have noticed there are quite a few homeowners who have chosen to cement their entire or at least the majority of their backyard. I can only assume these homeowners don’t like yard work. But where is all the water going?
Many times, the water is going over to your neighbors yard which does not make for a good neighbor situation.
When there are torrential rain storms, there is no place for all the water to go when the entire yard is cement which means all that water ponds in your neighbors yard causing problems. It’s important to be a good neighbor.
Remember, to place drains that run from your backyard along side of each side of your home to the front and into the street gutter. Check out the Family Handyman to find out how to put in a drain in your backyard.
Just a thought that will help you get along better with your new neighbor and is an excellent backyard homeowner tip.
